Sofia extends its call for submissions

The 21st Sofia International Film Festival, the biggest competitive film festival in Bulgaria and accredited by FIAPF, has now extended the deadline for its call for submissions.

The deadline for foreign feature film entries is 21 October, and the deadline for Bulgarian features is 1 December. Lastly, the deadline for the Jameson Competition for Bulgarian short films is 10 January 2017. For more information, please click here.

The festival’s main sections include an international feature-film competition, a Balkan competition, an international documentary competition and the Jameson Competition for Best Bulgarian Short Film. The parallel sections are the Grand Awards, Cinema Today – Masters, Cinema Tomorrow – Discoveries, New Bulgarian Cinema, Kaleidoscope, special screenings, tributes and retrospectives, and SFF on the Road. The festival will take place in the Bulgarian capital from 9-19 March 2017.
