But before the film event of the year, the 2016 edition of Cinema Italian Style will celebrate Dino Risi 100 years on from his birth. The great Italian director will be paid tribute to with the world premiere, to be held tonight, Monday 13 November at the Egyptian Theatre, of the restored version of The Easy Life, a masterpiece which is well-loved in America, offering a sneak preview of the retrospective that will be held from 14 December at the MoMA in New York with the support of the Istituto Luce Cinecittà, the Cineteca di Bologna and Surf Film.

This year’s programme for Cinema Italian Style features ten films chosen by President of the Italian Film Journalists Union (SNGCI) Laura Delli Colli with Gwen Deglise from the American Cinematheque, films representing a particularly dynamic season for Italian production, with high-quality films acclaimed not only by critics, but by audiences too.
