Written by the director, the story depicts a day in the life of a woman in her 40s, called Anna. She is an Italian teacher with three kids, a husband, a flat and constant financial issues. When it comes to money, every penny counts, and when it comes to time, so does every minute. Anna's running all the time – from work to the nursery, to school, to ballet class, to fencing class. It is just an average day in her life, a little like a hectic road movie. But during the one day we follow her life, her husband cheats on her. Though this is something out of the ordinary, it is not entirely unexpected, since the atmosphere at home has been uncomfortable for months. The danger of the fling looms over them all day, but it is too late to deflect it; there is no time. Anna faithfully tries to keep up, to keep on top of the day, and she tries not to let things slide, not to stop. When the incident occurs, what really happens is quite different from what she had been expecting...

Produced by Agi Pataki and Edina Kenesei for Filmpartners, One Day is being co-produced by Judit Romwalter for Sparks Ltd and by Judit Varga for Prop Club. Also enjoying backing from the Hungarian National Film Fund, the film will continue principal photography until 14 April. Distribution in Hungarian theatres and international sales are under negotiation.
