"I’m delighted to have been able to work on this film, it was a completely different experience to those I’ve had up until now", he told Cineuropa in an interview talking about his role in Memorias de un hombre en pijama. Three years in the making, this big screen adaptation of the famous comic strip by Paco Roca is currently in post-production.

In this project, directed by Carlos Fernández de Vigo, Raúl Arévalo plays opposite María Castro. The screenplay for this romantic comedy was written by Paco Roca himself, in partnership with Diana López and Ángel de la Cruz. Raúl Arévalo plays Paco, in his animated form and in the flesh, in the same way that María Castro gives life to Jilguero. Paco is a forty-something may, who’s happy to work from home… until he meets Jilguero, a woman he falls in love with. She tries to get him to change his habits, to make him ditch the pyjamas and go outside. Their respective friends, singletons and couples alike, also have a hand in the way the situation develops.

. This animated film brought home two Goya awards and was sold in 65 countries, including France, Italy, Portugal, the United States, Japan, Australia, Russia and the United Kingdom. Memorias de un hombre en pijama was supported by TVE, TV3 and Movistar +, as well as ICAA, ICEC, IVAC and AGADIC. The original soundtrack was composed by the group Love of Lesbian.
