. The film, which will be directed by Jacopo Rondinelli, who has directed big music videos and adverts in the past, is billed as an exciting fight for survival, “a dark and lethal game for those of a strong disposition capable of handling extreme emotions”. And it has an original twist to it too: it will be the first Italian film shot entirely using go-pros, highly resistant wearable cameras.

“We wanted to continue the journey we began with Mine”, Guaglione explained as he presented the project in Rome yesterday together with Andrea Occhipinti from Lucky Red, which is producing the film with Mercurio Domina handling the international market. “It will be another English-language genre film, but this time the idea is to blend the language of thriller/horror films into the aesthetics and themes of the many extreme sports films you find online”, added Guaglione, who wrote the screenplay with Resinaro and Marco Sani

“We’ll be shooting scenes with ten little cameras at the same time”, clarified the director, Rondinelli, “we’ll be using drones and stuntmen, and there’ll be a lot of post-production work”. Filming, which is due to begin at the end of August and will last five weeks, will take place entirely in Trentino (the film is being supported by the Trentino Film Commission).

Lucky Red, which this year celebrates its 30th year of activity and success, is currently working on a number of other interesting projects: there’s Gli sdraiati by Francesca Archibugi, based on the book of the same name by Michele Serra, which is being produced in partnership with Indiana and Rai Cinema (filming began on 22 May, and the film is due to be released on 23 November); The Legend of the Christmas Witch [+see also:
