(which has just received €1.4 million from the ICAA – see article) is inspired by recent Spanish history, and was written by Sorogoyen and his usual partner in crime Isabel Peña. The hero of the film is a politician caught up in shady deals that his party wants to use as a scapegoat. Alongside de La Torre, the cast features Luis Zahera, Barbara Lennie, José Maria Pou, Ana Wagener, Nacho Fresneda, Monica Lopez and Francisco Reyes.

Sorogoyen, who recently released award-winning short film La madre, continues here, through the threme of corruption, to explore the darkest recesses of the human soul. Antonio de la Torre, for his part, has appeared in a number of films since May God Save Us, including Memorias del calabozo (see article), El autor (previous title: El móvil – see article) and Abracadabra [+see also:

, which is being made on a budget of €4 million, is being produced by Tornasol Films, Trianera PC A.I.E. and Atresmedia Cine, in partnership with French companies Le Pacte and Mondex&cie, and with the participation of Atresmedia and Movistar Plus+. In Spain, the film will be distributed by Warner Bros Pictures Spain. International sales are being handled by Latido Films.
