Le Vent tourne tells the story of a couple of scrappy and impassioned thirty-somethings, Alex (Pierre Deladonchamps) and Pauline (Mélanie Thierry) who took over the family farm some years ago. They’re determined to keep their land at all costs, but risk losing the connection that binds them together as a couple. This increasingly unstable balance wavers even more with the arrival of the intriguing Samuel (Nuno Lopes), an engineer sent to install the wind turbine that will finally make them energy-independent. A revolution that slowly but surely goes from being practical to sentimental. The wind is changing, as the title suggests, perhaps for the best but perhaps not. It’s up to Pauline to decide.

Le Vent tourne is being produced by Swiss company Rita Productions and French company Silex Films. The film is being supported for Switzerland’s part by the Federal Office of Culture, RTS, Cinéforom and Loterie Romande, Suissimage and the Zurich Film Foundation. Meanwhile French support is being provided by the CNC, ARP Sélection and Canal+.
