The Golden Frog for Best Documentary Film went to Nina Badoux, who worked on Radio Kobanî with director Reber Dosky. For the first time, the festival also handed out a FIPRESCI Award, which was given to a director, but in specific recognition of the film’s cinematography. The critics favoured Warwick Thornton’s Sweet Country, while the audience gave its award to Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri [+see also:

, directed by Martin McDonagh.

The Camerimage festival also runs other contests: the Polish Film Competition, Directors’ Debuts Competition, Student Etudes Competition, Documentary Shorts Competition, Music Video Competition and First Look – TV Pilots Competition.

The gathering also includes a handful of non-competitive sections, such as the Baltic Cinema Review, Irish Cinema Review, a Frederick Wiseman retrospective and the European Panorama. Camerimage’s programme is complemented by lectures, workshops and meetings with distinguished cinematographers. The 25th edition of the festival was held in Bydgoszcz, Poland, between 11 and 18 November.
