Among the 12 advanced development projects presented as part of the FeatureLab program (read the news here), the international jury lead by the president of the National Cinema Museum in Turin, Laura Milani, and including filmmakers Karim Aïnouz, Tala Hadid, Anna Rose Holmer and the producer Georges Schoucair, chose to award the two TFL Production Awards (€50,000 each) to Sole by Carlo Sironi (Italy/France/Poland) and Alpha by Una Gunjak (Bosnia and Herzegovina/Italy/Croatia/France). €50,000 also went to each of the three TFL Co-Production Award winners: The Defendant by Franco Lolli (Colombia/France) Whether the Weather Is Fine by Carlo Francisco Manatad (Philippines/France/Singapore), the story of a mother and son facing the consequences of a devastating typhoon, and Taste by Le Bao (Singapore/Vietnam), the story of a Nigerian immigrant in Saigon.
