After it unveiled the first few titles selected (see the news), the Berlin Film Festival is back to announce the full line-up of the Generation section for its 68th edition, set to take place from 15-25 February.

Once again this year, the section, dedicated to films made by the younger generations, will shine the spotlight on youth as a common thread to explore both cinematic developments as well as current socio-political situations. Films by Switzerland’s Germinal Roaux, Ireland’s Aofie McArdle and Denmark's seasoned animation master Jannik Hastrup, among others, have now been added to the previously announced titles.

“Every single selection is an invitation to the audience to experience life from the perspective of youth. They are films with young people, as opposed to about them,” said section head Maryanne Redpath about this year’s programme.
