New York’s Socially Relevant Film Festival to embrace European titles

The SR Socially Relevant Film Festival 2018 will take place in New York’s Cinema Village from 16-28 March. The fifth edition of the festival will include industry workshops and panels dedicated to exploring and reflecting on social issues.

The SRFF’s founder and artistic director, Nora Armani, says, “We at SRFF 2018 are very happy with our fifth year's selection. We have been able to incorporate films from more countries, and have been able to home in on specific social issues in more depth. This year's festival goes back to basics: the filmmakers, the films and the issues, with a number of interesting partners and sponsors accompanying us.” 

The festival’s Official Selection comprises five narrative feature films, 15 documentaries and 38 short films from over 22 different countries.
