), based on Camille Laurens’ novel of the same name, the story revolves around 50-year-old Claire, a divorced teacher and mother of two. In order to keep tabs on Ludo, her untrustworthy lover, she creates a fake Facebook profile and uses it to become Clara, a 23-year-old blonde who seduces Alex, a friend of Ludo’s. In this dizzying whirlwind of a story, told from several people’s points of view, the truth and lies become one and the same thing…

Produced by Michel Saint-Jean for Diaphana Films (which has worked with Safy Nebbou twice in the past), Celle que vous croyez is being co-produced by France 3 Cinéma and by Belgian outfit Scope Pictures. Having been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature is also being backed by the La Banque Postale Image, Manon and Cinécapital Soficas. The shoot will continue for 43 days, with Gilles Porte serving as DoP. Interestingly, the music will be composed by Ibrahim Maalouf (the winner of the César and Lumières Award in his respective category in 2017 for In the Forests of Siberia, also nominated for the César Award in 2015 for Yves Saint Laurent [+see also:
