Bertrand Bonello to chair the shorts and Cinéfondation jury at Cannes

- The French filmmaker will judge the films duking it out in the Cinéfondation Selection and the short-film competition on the Croisette in May

The movies by film schools in the Cinéfondation Selection and the short films in competition at the 71st Cannes Film Festival (8-19 May) will be judged by a jury set to be chaired by French filmmaker Bertrand Bonello, who is thus stepping into the shoes of previous chairs Cristian Mungiu, Naomi Kawase, Abderrahmane Sissako, Abbas Kiarostami, Jane Campion, Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Martin Scorsese.
As a reminder, the director is a familiar face on the Croisette, where he presented his second feature, The Pornographer, in the Critics’ Week in 2001, before being selected three times in competition, with Tiresia (in 2003), House of Tolerance [+see also:
