The 19th edition of Aubagne International Film Festival – the only festival in Europe dedicated entirely to film music and the promotion of films by young people – kicks off today and will bring together more than 700 professionals until 24 March.

Also worth a mention in the programme is a competition of 77 short films (14 animations, eight documentaries and 55 fiction films), best picks (the German documentary Flying Revolution - The Story of a Lifetime Battle by Steve Won in particular) and cartes blanches to four festivals (the Portuguese FEST event – Espinho New Directors/New Films Festival, the Poznan Short Film Festival in Poland, the Istria International Sound and Film Music Festival in Croatia, and Montreal New Cinema Festival), not forgetting the European market for music composition, which will be held from 22-23 March.
