Created in 2015 by Scam, alongside the Cannes Film Festival and in partnership with Ina (the French national audio-visual institute), The Golden Eye award distinguishes the best documentary from across the many Cannes selections (the 71st edition of which will run from 8 to 19 May) and the winner will be decided upon this year by a jury presided over by French director Emmanuel Finkiel (who recently won acclaim for Memoir of Pain [+see also:
