Linda Wendel’s new film, Baby, out today in Denmark, looks very likely to create waves. Based on Kirsten Thorup’s eponymous and shocking novel published in 1973, Baby is about a group of disillusioned young residents of Copenhagen, whose credo is easy jobs and easy money, and who spend their free time having sex and doing drugs.
Baby is Wendel’s fifth feature film and her no-holds barred explicit approach is bound to cause scandal. The cast includes some of Denmark’s finest talent, Ulrich Thomsen (Festen), Jesper Christiansen and Maria Rich (Minor Mishaps [+see also:

), as well as the Sort Sol band.
Produced by Baby Film, this title received a production grant of €4,000 from the DFI - Danish Film Institute. Baby is distributed by Miracle Film.
