05/06/2002 - The director may be charged with manslaugher following the death of his DP

Luc Besson, who directed Nikita, Subway and The 5th Element faces charges of manslaughter after his DP on Taxi 2, Alain Dutarte was killed and his assistant seriously wounded after a car stunt went terribly wrong in August 1999. Veteran international stuntman, Remi Julienne, who was supervising the sequence was charged with manslaughter in April.
