A Short Irish Day

- At the gates of Dublin Bitesize, the one-day festival dedicated to the gems of national film production

On June 29th, the Irish Film Centre (www.fii.ie) will host a screening of Irish short subjects, some of which are animated, as part of the Dublin Bitesize festival organized by the Dublin Film Festival. Other titles in this program include Give Up Your Aul Sins by Cathal Gaffney, which has already been nominated for an Oscar, Fifty Percent Grey by Ruairi Robinson, and Dog by Suzie Templeton, which has been awarded by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (www.bafta.com). One of the short subjects on everyone´s «must see» list is The Case of Majella McGinty by Kirsten Sheridan.
Dublin Bitesize is also giving an overview of the state of animation in Ireland through a seminar to be held by the Brown Bag Filmsanimation studio. The entire festival will be open to students and professionals, as well as to the general public.
