18/06/2002 - Here it is the very first entirely French animated feature

The Prophecy of the Frogs will be a landmark film for the French animation industry: the first animated feature wholly produced and directed in France by industry veteran and multiple award-winning director, Jacques-Remy Girerd´s FolimageStudio in Valence (France).
Fifty artists and animators have been working on this story of two children, Tom and Lili, who transform their house into a modern-day Noah´s Ark and save all the animals from the local zoo after the country is hit by massive flooding. The storyline is typically «Folimage»; it communicates a message to children without being patronising and the film will cost €5million with a storyboard that calls for 1,050 sequences and thirty characters voiced by some of France´s most celebrated acting talents like Annie Girardot, Michel Piccoli, Anouk Grinberg and Michel Galabru. The film is scheduled for a Xmas 2003 release.
