by

Grand Prix at the International Critics Week of 2004, Brodeuses, the first feature by Eléonore Faucher, interpreted by Ariane Ascaride and Lola Naymark is enjoying great success as it circulates in the Old Continent. Released on the 13th October 2004 in France (Pyramide) and in Belgium (Paradiso), the film was distributed on 29th October in Sweden, the 17th February in Holland (Paradiso), the 6th May in Poland, the 19th May in Germany (Delphi Film-Verleih with a total of 24 prints), the 20th May in the UK (Soda Pictures) and the 27th May in Italy (BIM Distribuzione with 17 prints). There remains further potential for Brodeuses since it was sold by Pyramide International to Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Denmark and Norway. At the box-office, the film has taken advantage of its day in the sun since it totalled, notably, almost 30 000 admissions in Germany and 170 000 euros of receipts in four weeks in Italy.

Worth noting, too, the good results of quality French films thanks to distributors in Italy Mikado (almost 150 000 euros of receipts L’Esquive [+see also:
