While Swedish children will be able to prepare for ‘Jul’ festen with the US family blockbuster The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe released on 21 December by BVI, adults will have a pleasant "smorgåsbord" to choose from on Christmas day with Björn Runge’s latest feature Mun Mot Mun(Mouth against Mouth) presented by Sonet Film , the French film by Emmanuel Carrère The Moustache under Triangelfilm’ banner, and the three US offerings Memoirs of a Geisha and Ice Harvest released by Sony Pictures and 20th Century Fox’s Into The Blue.

Björn Runge’s second feature film after his convincing directorial debut Daybreak rewarded in Berlin 2004 with a Silver Bear and in Sweden with four local Oscars, is another portrayal of family life in a state of distress, played again by the same actors and actresses Marie Richardson, Pernilla August, Anne Petrén, Camilla Larsson, Peter Andersson, Magnus Krepper, with a new part here for Marie Göranzon (The Best Intentions) in a lead role.
In Mun mot mun, a family lives a permanent drama since the eldest daughter Vera left home a year earlier. All family members blame themselves for her fleeing home, especially her father Mats. Vera lives with Morgan, an older criminal who takes advantage of her vulnerability. Mats tried to make contact with Vera, but she doesn’t want to have anything to do with her family. But Vera’s 18th birthday approaches and Mats is desperate to win his daughter back. The film is about survival and freedom, about life that sometimes offers a second chance and about love that is stronger that hate.

Based on Björn Runge’s original script, the film is produced by Daybreak’s producer Clas Gunnarsson for Zoyd Productions in co-production with Film i Väst, Sonet Film, Cinestar Rental, SVT with support from the Swedish Film Institute, Nordisk Film & TV Fund and the Danish Film Institute.
