The 10th edition of the City Of Lights, City Of Angels Festival (April 2-9) in Los Angeles kicked off last Monday with Francis Veber’s The Valet [+see also:

Organised by the French-American Cultural Funds (SACEM, Directors Guild of America, Writers Guild of America, MPA), with the support of the ARP , Unifrance and the French embassy in the United States, the event is an opportunity for French cinema to promote itself after a year in which French films beat their previous box office records in the US (€125m).

Attending this year’s festival are filmmakers Michael Mann and Taylor Hackford, who have come to discover French production as representatives of the US director’s union.
