Rezo has high hopes for Brisseau and Uro

French company Rezo Films are expected to do good business at the Cannes Market this year, with Norwegian title Uro [+see also:

, the debut feature by Stefan Faldbakken presented in Un Certain Regard (see review).

The company’s sale team, headed by Laurent Danielou, has already secured sales for the film in Spain, Brazil, Russia, Italy and Germany, with negotiations with other countries well underway.

The other film in Rezo’s line-up is Les Anges exterminateurs [+see also:

by French director Jean-Claude Brisseau, screened in the Director’s Fortnight. Sale deals have almost been sealed for Germany and Italy, while agreements for Scandinavian territories (Sandrew Metrodome), Brazil and Japan have been signed.

Rezo plans to follow up on its successful sales at previous markets, especially with animated feature La Reine Soleil (see article) by Philippe Leclerc. The film, currently in production, is based upon the novel by Egyptologist Christian Jacq and has been sold to several territories worldwide.
