Double US win for The Bothersome Man

was awarded the NOK1m ($185,000) top prize for Best Feature Film at the Hampton International Film Festival in the US last weekend and the film's DoP John Christian Rosenlund, the Kodak Prize for Best Cinematography ($6,000).

The film's producer Jorgen Storm Rosenberg flew to Hampton to collect the award directly from London, where The Bothersome Man had enjoyed packed screenings at the London Film Festival.

Since its world premiere at Cannes' Critics Week last May, Lien's black comedy has been to almost 30 international film festivals and its sales agent Bavaria Film International has sold it to a dozen territories, including ICA Distribution in the UK (who bought it after the RomeFilmFest), France, Belgium, Estonia, Luxembourg, Romania, Switzerland, Hungary, and Australia.

In Norway, the film won three Amanda Awards (local Oscars): Best Direction, Best Script and Best Actor (Trond Fausa Aurvag).
