Shooting stars in Tallinn

Eight European Shooting Stars will be illuminating the Black Night Film Festival (BNFF) in Tallinn (November 23-December 10) as part of the MEDIA Programme European Film Promotion’s efforts to increase the awareness of European films and talents outside their country of origin.

The 2006 group of Shooting Stars were first exposed to media and public attention last February in Berlin and continued their European Film Promotion touring programme at the Seville Festival de Cine early November. The eight promising young actors who are attending Tallinn’s BNFF today until Wednesday 6th and will introduce their latest films are Gabriella Hámori (Hungary, Péter Bergendy’s Stop Mom Teresa!), Björn Hlynur Haraldsson (Iceland, Robert I. Douglas’ Eleven Men Out),Iva Krajnc (Slovenia, Matjaž Klopčič’s Ljubljana the Beloved), Carlos Leal (Switzerland, Samir’s Snow White [+see also:

The 10th generation of Shooting Stars will be presented from February 10-12, 2007 at the upcoming Berlin International Film Festival (February 8-18, 2007).
