Training: MEDIA will publish a new call for proposals for initial training. The call will be addressed to film schools to train students and increase networking and mobility. The Commission also announced the reduction of the available budget for the training sector for 2008

Development: the main change is the cancellation of the reimbursement obligation. The Commission’s aid will be considered a subsidy rather than a loan

Distribution: the Commission simplified the reimbursement procedures. Distribution companies will not be obliged to reimburse the MEDIA support from the first days of a film’s distribution

VOD and Internet: a sum of €4m will be allocated to favour the diffusion of European content through the Internet. The call for proposals will be published next autumn 2007.
