Empire Cinemas launch first all-digital multiplex

by

Empire Cinemas, one of the UK’s largest private cinema chains, announced last week that its six-screen multiplex in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire was going fully digital.

Partnered with Kodak, Barco and Bell Theatre Services, Empire has installed the Kodak Digital Cinema solution at the 1697-seat cinema, including the new Kodak Theatre Management System (TMS).

“We’re thrilled,” said Brian Kercher, Kodak Digital Cinema General Manager for Europe, “to be working with Empire Cinemas [and] confident they’ll find that the Kodak TMS, especially, will help them improve their workflow, automate content handling, and more fully realize the promise of digital cinema.”
