Two Swiss titles travel to Hong Kong

(Dschoint Ventschr ) and Marcel Schüpbach’s documentary Carla’s List (CAB Productions) – are screening at the 31st Hong Kong International Film Festival (March 27-April 11).

Winner of the Golden Leopard at Locarno and two awards at the 2006 Sarajevo Film Festival, Staka’s film is currently on release in Germany and will open soon in Eastern Europe (see news), Austria (Polyfilm), Greece (Rosebud Motion Pictures Enterprises) and Spain (Sherlock Films).

Meanwhile, Schüpbach’s documentary, which is in the running for the Humanitarian Award for Documentaries at Hong Kong, recounts the daily struggles faced by public prosecutor Carla del Ponte at the International Criminal Court for the former Yugoslavia. The documentary is currently screening at the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival in London and will be shown in New York in June.

Carla’s List has already been acquired by France (Pierre Grise Distribution), Italy (Ripley's Film), Spain (Aquelarre), the Benelux countries (Cinema Delikatessen) and the former Yugoslavia (Continental Film).
