Rabaglia shoots in Italy

by

Principal photography on the new feature by Swiss director Denis Rabaglia gets underway today in Italy, in Liguria and on Ventotene Island.

Winner of the Swiss Film Prize in 2001 with Azzurro, which garnered over 100,000 admissions at the Swiss box office, this time the director is filming an adaptation of Mark David Hatwood’s novel Marcello’s Date. The film is being produced in Italian and will star Neapolitan actors.

Produced by Anne Walser (C-Films) and Martin Hagemann (zero fiction, Berlin) under the title Marcello Marcello, the comedy is about a fisherman’s son who defies his village’s traditions when he falls in love with a woman.
