(Prince Film, Pierre-Alain Meier; see Focus), has snagged the Grand Prize at the 22nd Umea International Film Festival in Sweden.

The sensitive film shot in the Swiss Jura stars French actress Isild Le Besco.

First discovered at the Berlinale Forum, the title also won the Distribution Award at the 4th IndieLisboa Festival and the FIPRESCI Prize at the 50th San Francisco International Film Festival.

After its release in French-speaking Switzerland and France last May, A Parting Shot will reach cinemas in German-speaking Switzerland this Thursday.
