Final preparations are underway for the 58th Berlinale (February 7-17).

French international sales company Studio Canal will present as part of their line-up one of the contenders for the Golden Bear award: Erick Zonca’s Julia [+see also:

, starring Tilda Swinton (see news).

The team headed by Harold Van Lier also hope to attract attention at the market with a feature in post-production, which is among the Cannes favourites: Let It Rain, directed by and starring Agnès Jaoui, with a cast that includes Jean-Pierre Bacri and Jamel Debbouze (see news).

Other noteworthy titles in post-production are Laetitia Colombani’s Mes stars et moi (“My Stars and I”), starring Catherine Deneuve, Emmanuelle Béart and Kad Merad (see news); and Mathieu Kassovitz’s Babylon A.D. (see news), which may be unveiled out of competition at Cannes.

Studio Canal are also planning several market screenings, including Cédric Klapisch’s Paris [+see also:

(see news) with its stellar cast (Romain Duris, Juliette Binoche, Fabrice Luchini, François Cluzet, Karin Viard, Albert Dupontel and Mélanie Laurent).

The slate also features the comedies La Personne aux deux personnes (“The Two-Sided Person”) by Bruno and Nicolas, starring Alain Chabat, Daniel Auteuil and Marina Foïs; and Fabien Oteniente’s Disco starring Gérard Depardieu, Emmanuelle Béart and the popular actor Franck Dubosc (see news).
