26/07/2002 - The 5th SEE Network conference has approved additional production projects and a new official internet site

The 5th meeting of representatives of the cinema organisations of the 11 countries of the South Eastern European Cinema Network (See Network) took place in Istanbul. The delegates of the representative organisations agreed on the implementation of two proposals. The first proposal consists of a Greek initiative, called SEE CN-Development, regarding the joint funding of film production projects at the development stage. The final rules and regulations of this funding scheme will be approved in the course of the next General Assembly to be held in Thessalonica at the end of 2002.
The second initiative consists of the presentation of the website of the Film «Professionals´ Guide» of the Network´s 11 Member-states. The Guide includes all the professionals in the film industries of the 11 Member states and provides interested parties with a useful research and information tool. Among other projects discussed were the joint promotion and distribution of film works in the Network´s member states as well as in other countries and a joint presence at international film festivals.
