“War Photographer” in German cinemas
The documentary War Photographer by Christian Freis that was nominated for an Oscar this year for “Best Documentary” started its career in the German cinemas. The film narrates the life and the work of the war photographer James Nachtwey considered one of the bravest and most important war photographers of our time, who travelled with his camera in different war zones through the years. The film received the Phoenix prize for best documentary at the Cologne Conference. So far, both the public and the critics in Germany have embraced War Photographer.
