Producers Windeløv and Brokemper to get Prix Eurimages

For the second time, the European Film Awards will include the presentation of the Prix Eurimages, backed and named after the infamous support fund of the Council of Europe for the co-production, distribution, exhibition and digitisation of European cinematographic works.

This year, the prize will reward the work of two producers who have combined efforts in order to develop and promote European cinema: Denmark's Vibeke Windeløv and Germany's Bettina Brokemper.

One of the most influential producers in Scandinavia, Windeløv was at the start of the new wave of Danish cinema and at the birth of the Dogma movement, while Brokemper’s credits include the co-production of Thomas Vinterberg's Dear Wendy and Eran Riklis' Lemon Tree [+see also:

. The two producers have worked together in the co-production of the first two parts of Lars Von Trier's US trilogy: Dogville [+see also:

The European Film Awards will be held on December 6 in Copenhagen.
