Sauna fresh buy for IFC

The Finnish horror film Sauna by AJ Annila (Jade Warrior [+see also:

) has been acquired by US distributor IFC Entertainment who will release it through its Festival Direct Platform video on demand (VoD) service.

Sauna is one of the most original horror films I've seen on the festival circuit in a long time," said IFC Entertainment President Jonathan Sehring. "AJ has made a film that, when brought to a wide national audience on VoD, should satisfy both fans of horror and those not usually attracted to the genre. It is an impressive feat that signals the emergence of a major international director."

The first feature film produced by Jesse Fryckman and Tero Kaukomaa for Bronson Club had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. This Friday, the gothic horror movie about sins and repentance will be splashed across Finnish screens by distributor Sandrew Metronome. Kaukomaa is handling world sales on the film.

Other projects on Bronson Club’s slate include The Temptation of St Tony by Estonian filmmaker Veiko Õunpuu (Autumn Ball [+see also:

), produced by Homeless Bob Production (Estonia) in co-production with Sweden’s Atmo.
