Oliver Berben takes reins of Constantin

On January 1, Oliver Berben took over as director of leading German company Constantin Film Produktion GmbH.

He has worked for the group since 1999 as a producer and director of the label “MOOVIE - the art of entertainment”, a subsidiary of Constantin. He worked on Oskar Roehler’s festival favourite The Elementary Particles [+see also:

and the comedy Why Men Don’t Listen and Women Can’t Park, which was popular among German audiences.

Berben is currently handling production on Männersache, by and starring Mario Barth, and (in collaboration with Martin Moszkowicz) on Sönke Wortmann’s intriguing Pope Joan, which is based on Donna Cross’ bestselling book about the female pope. He also continues his activities for MOOVIE, with a mini-series by Doris Dörrie.
