The Beaune Meetings Programme

The 12th edition of the Beaune Film Meetings, organised by the French film directors’ and producers’ guild – ARP - will take place from 24 to 27 October 2002 under the presidency of French director Claude Lelouch.
Beaune is a one of the most important events on the European industry operators’ calendar and this year’s theme is production, namely “How to improve film funding?”.
A number of important issues will be discussed during the four-day event, including “The criteria for the technological, economic and cultural success of Terrestrial Digital Television”; “Concentration of financial assets and the dangers of uniformity in film creativity”; “From Europe’s Markets to European Culture? The role of culture in the European Treaty of the future.” The last day of the Screenings will focus on the way in which technological developments impact on the film industry.”
