EFM director Matthijs Wouter Knol said: "Berlin is a place to focus and find new ideas. With the Sino-European Production Seminar we are very happy to offer European producers a possibility to get the latest insights and learn from potential key Chinese partners. As an international platform for the film industry, the EFM is a good place for both European and Chinese industries to compare trends, connect with each other and strengthen bonds at the beginning of the Year of the Monkey.”

The sessions will range from expert talks to case studies, covering topics such as who's who in the Chinese film industry, recent updates on Chinese market, case study on European-Chinese co-productions, dealing with SARFT and the censorship, packaging and financing structure of Chinese films/co-productions with China, creative marketing and distribution in the internet age, as well as the Chinese audience today and tomorrow.
