Film London révèle les projets choisis pour son programme Microwave

Film London has shortlisted 12 projects from 160 applications for the new round of micro-budget filmmaking scheme Microwave, past successes of which include Lilting [+lire aussi :

. Supported by the BFI, Creative Skillset and BBC Films, the commissioned films will be awarded £100,000 of a total production budget of £150,000, the remaining £50,000 of which the teams will have to raise themselves. Shortlisted filmmakers will also receive up to £10,000 development funding for the first time. The teams will attend a five-day training programme after which six projects will go forward to six weeks of development and finally two films will be commissioned.

Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission, said, “With our previous slate, the bar has been set extremely high. However, given the calibre of the teams behind the shortlisted projects I’m certain we’ll see some exciting results and look forward to showcasing some brave new filmmaking voices. We are also working to ensure a better cross section of London’s wonderfully diverse community is reflected in the slate.”
