Film London has partnered with media investment firm Bob & Co to raise £200,000 in production financing for its Microwave International: Shakespeare India scheme. This is in addition to a deal struck with India’s Cinestaan Film Company in April to raise £250,000.

Six Indo-UK teams are currently in London receiving training under the aegis of Film London’s Microschool programme mentored by industry experts including producers Andrea Calderwood (The Last King of Scotland [+lire aussi :

). One Shakespeare-themed project will be greenlighted out of the six, and it will be produced and released in time to coincide with the 400th anniversary of the writer's death in 2016.
