) who will present The Fixer - the story of a young journalist who tries to seize the chance for a potentially big scoop, leading him to question the nature of his ambition. Written by Claudia Silișteanu andthe director himself, The Fixer is a co-production between Romania's 4 Proof Film and France's Petit Film.

, the debut feature by director Catrinel Dănăiață. Starring Bogdan Dumitrache, Maria Dinulescu and Corina Moise, it tells the story of a young architect on the brink of success, but fighting with a failing relationship and his mother’s illness. It is at this critical point that he meets a mysterious young woman. Double is a co-production of Abis Studio and HiFilm.

Another very interesting title is Birds Like Us, promoted as Bosnia and Herzegovina's first feature-length animation. Based on an 11th century Persian fable and set in the world of birds, it is directed by Faruk Šabanović, who also co-wrote the script with Olivia Hetreed. The cast includes Jeremy Irons, Jim Broadbent and Alicia Vikander, and the project lists Abbigail Disney and Cat Villers as co-producers. The Bosnian production company is PRIME TIME, and TRT Turkish Radio and TV is a partner and investor. It was co-produced by the UK, the US and Turkey.

From Bulgaria, the Works in Progress programme will present Godless [+lire aussi :

by first-time feature writer-director Ralitza Petrova, who won the Prix UIP Berlin at the Berlinale in 2007 with her short film, Rotten Apple. Her latest work is the story of a morphine-addicted nurse who steals and sells her patients’ ID cards. However, when a patient she has fallen for is arrested, she attempts to do the right thing - only to find that in a godless world, good intentions require sacrifices. Godless is a co-production between Bulgaria's Klas Film and France's Alcatraz Films.

Selected from Sarajevo's Docu Rough Cut Boutique, the only documentary in the line-up is Siniša Vidović's Korida, about bull fights in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The documentary follows five bull trainers in their daily lives and reveals a practically unknown subculture and its everyday conflicts. Korida is a co-production by Austria's Golden Girls Filmproduktion (best known for Everyday Rebellion) and Filmservices GmbH.

The jury, consisting of Tanja Meissner (Head of International Sales & Acquisitions, Memento Films), Khalil Benkirane (Head of Grants, Doha Film Institute) and Tolke Palm (Producer, The Post Republic), will hand out The Post Republic Award (worth €50,000 in post-production services) and The Restart Award (further support worth €20,000).
