Within the framework of The Business Street it seemed natural to draw attention to a growing market: the sale of remake rights of stories with a strong appeal, which enjoyed great success in their native countries, and which carry the potential to communicate with audiences around the world. This year, the format has been reinforced in order to offer greater opportunities for the promotion of these titles and to foster even more effective networking between professionals.

During the morning, esteemed guest speakers will be asked to share their knowledge on the negotiation of remake rights from both a legal and commercial point of view, taking into account case studies of successful remakes which will demonstrate and further encourage the discussion on the market potential of remakes. Guido Rud from Filmsharks Int’ will moderate.

2 session, 11,40 AM Focus on Rest of the World features Meg Thomson (EcchoRemakes), Michiyo Yoshizaki (NDF International), Alejandro Cacetta (Patagonik Film Group) and Guido Rud (Filmsharks Int’l).

29 films are available in the remakes section of TBS videolibrary, and the rights holders will be available for one to one meetings with TBS accredited participants in the Sala Tacito/Orazio (Hotel Bernini Bristol, lower ground level) which will turn into the Remakes lounge for the occasion: contact them to set up a meeting!
