Our Life in Celluloid Dreams’ line-up
by Fabien Lemercier
22/04/2010 - Selected in competition at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival (May 12-23), Daniele Luchetti’s Italian feature Our Life [trailer] will be sold internationally by Paris-based Celluloid Dreams.
The team headed by Hengameh Panahi, who last year successfully negotiated sales for the Italian title in competition on the Croisette (Marco Bellocchio’s Vincere [trailer, film focus]), has a second Palme d’Or 2010 contender in its line-up: Outrage by Japan’s Takeshi Kitano.
These two major titles look set to bring prosperous deals at the Cannes Film Market and join the projects already showcased by Celluloid Dreams (see news).
With a budget of €6.2m, Our Life was 80% produced by Italy via Cattleya in co-production with Rai Cinema and with backing from the Italian Culture Ministry, and 20% produced by France via Babe Films, with a pre-acquisition from Canal + and support from the National Film and Moving Image Centre (CNC) foreign-language film fund.
