Organisers toast a successful 61st edition
The organisers of the 61st Berlin Film Festival, which lit up the German capital from February 10-20, are very pleased with its results: about 300,000 tickets were sold during the 11-day event, which is proof of the public’s continuing interest.
Interest from professionals hasn’t waned either: about 20,000 accredited attendees representing 116 countries were at Berlin, including 3,900 members of the press. Meanwhile, the EFM (European Film Market), where business was booming, saw a rise in exhibitor numbers.
The Berlinale’s 62nd edition will run from February 9-19, 2012.
