European film stars and guests arriving at the red carpet of the 22nd European Film Awards ceremony.
Among the many European talents attending the ceremony were EFA's president Wim Wenders, Spanish actress Victoria Abril, British director Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire), Austrian filmmaker Michael Haneke (The White Ribbon), actor David Kross and Stephen Daldry (The Reader), actress Katie Jarvis and director Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank), Ken Loach (EFA Lifetime Achievement Award) and Isabelle Huppert (European Achievement in World Cinema 2009 award).
The 22nd edition of European Film Awards took place in Essen and Bochum, both in the Ruhr area (Germany).
