Written and directed by Roberto Andò, The Confessions is an Italian-French co-production screened in competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The film tells a story about secrets and power. The protagonist, played by Toni Servillo, is a mysterious Italian monk invited to a G8 meeting by the director of the International Monetary Fund. The director wants him to receive his confession in private at night, and the next morning, the director is found dead. We met up with Andò at the festival to talk about the movie.
