Agathe Villanova, a feminist newly engaged in politics, returns for 10 days to her childhood home in the south of France, in order to help her sister Florence to sort through the belongings of their mother, who died a year ago. Agathe doesn’t like the region; she left it as soon as she could. But the demand for equality has meant she has been landed here for the forthcoming elections. The house is inhabited by Florence, her husband and her children. There is also Mimouna, a housekeeper whom the Villanova family brought back with them from Algeria, when the country regained its independence. Mimouna’s son, Karim, and his friend Michel Ronsard decide to make a documentary about Agathe Villanova, as part of a collection about "women who have succeeded". It’s August. The sky is grey and it’s raining. That’s not normal. But nothing unfolds as normal.
