Cineuropa met with Italian director Uberto Pasolini, whose debut film Machan scooped the Golden Iris at the Brussels Film Festival 2009.
A renowned producer, whose filmography includes The Full Monty, Pasolini found himself, almost by chance, behind the camera to tell the unlikely story of 23 Sri Lankans who decide to pose as the Sri Lankan National Handball Team in order to obtain a precious visa for Germany.
