film profile] (Romanzo criminale) by Michele Placido was the big winner at the 2006 Nastri d’Argento Awards, winning five of its ten nominations. Italian journalists awarded it Best Director (Michele Placido), a first-time ever collective Best Actor (to Kim Rossi Stuart, Pierfrancesco Favino and Claudio Santamaria, all three of whom had been nominated as one entry), Best Editor (Esmeralda Calabria), Best Sound (Mario Iaquone) and Best Film. The film’s producers, Riccardo Tozzi, Giovanni Stabilini and Marco Chimenz of Cattleya (along with Warner) were also voted Best Producers of the year, chosen for Crime Novel as well their two other 2005 films (produced together with RAI Cinema): Don’t Tell [+see also:
