The Series Mania Institute has launched Apollo Series, a new and innovative training initiative designed to support emerging European producers in developing internationally viable television series. Unveiled at the Series Mania Forum, the programme is a collaboration between the Series Mania Institute, Göteborg Film Festival’s TV Drama Vision and MIA – International Audiovisual Market. Its goal is to provide producers with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of European co-productions, from the legal and financial aspects to the artistic considerations that drive successful international projects.

The programme will take place over 13 days, spread across three distinct sessions. The first session will be held in Rome, at the MIA, in October 2025, followed by the second session in Gothenburg at TV Drama Vision, during the Göteborg Film Festival, in January 2026. The final session will be held in Lille, at the Series Mania Forum, in March 2026. Each session will be delivered in English, with a combination of in-person and online formats, ensuring accessibility for producers across Europe.

Participants will receive expert training on critical aspects of co-production, including the legal frameworks that govern European collaborations, financial systems that underpin co-productions and strategies for balancing local content with international appeal. Additionally, they will have access to key industry events, offering invaluable opportunities to network with other producers, broadcasters, financiers and potential partners from across the continent.

The programme is designed to keep producers ahead of industry trends, including emerging opportunities in the co-production market. By the end, participants will have the practical tools to develop their series projects into internationally marketable productions.

This initiative brings together key players in the European audiovisual industry, with MIA providing a dynamic environment for collaboration in Rome, TV Drama Vision offering networking in Gothenburg, and the Series Mania Forum serving as a hub for industry insights in Lille.

Applications will open in May, with more information on the application process to be released soon.
